Don and I feel children are our future. Not the future of our family but the future of our country and the world. It's sad to think that there are children who are missing out on so much that we take for granted. The very things that our children are required to receive such as education, a roof over their heads and food in their stomachs.

Bright Future International (BFI) is trying to change that for some children by giving them hope and a future to look forward to. In addition The mission of BFI is to help children develop vital human qualities: compassion, a feeling of self worth, humility, a desire to help others and social skills. These are the qualities that are not taught in conventional schools and are deficient in many societies.

BFI's Facebook page has several stories of children they've helped. One that stands out in my mind was Ginet who was pregnant and forced to flee Ethopia alone. Ginet is now 17 ans says since she started staying in heshima Kenya, an organization dedicated to protecting and educated orphaned and separated refugee children and youth she believes in her security and potential Heshima Kenya gave her medical, food, clothes and an education as well as food and clothes for her baby. A young girl who didn't have anything to believe in now believes in hope.

To have hope is something everyone should have. Hope for today, hope for tomorrow and hope for a future. Hope and dreams that anything is possible.
