My Weight Loss Journey: Week 9 and Weight Watchers Inspirational Review

Despite not walking or exercising last week I still had a great weight loss. Yes, I lost 4.4 lbs and I'm now down to 236.4 lbs. I haven't been in the 230's in over 10 years. I feel great, except for the sore joints and muscles from both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis (part of the reason for not walking last week) but overall, I'm GREAT.

You're probably wondering what I did to still lose while the exercise was zilch. I didn't let my free Thursday continue through to Monday, I stopped on Friday really watched.

I did find another way to satisfy a sweet tooth. I bought some Weight Watcher desserts. I remember many years ago when I was in Weight Watchers, before the exchanges, before the points systems, when they first started with the Weight Watcher frozen foods I had some of their ice cream and it was great. I also remember their individual pizzas and I really liked them. Coming from a person who's a self proclaimed pizza snob and who doesn't care too much for ice cream, that's saying a lot about Weight Watcher food products. I also discovered their yogurt a couple of years ago and can't get enough of the Amaretto Cheesecake. Well, last week I broke down and got a couple of Weight Watcher desserts, Key Lime Pie and Eclairs. The Eclairs were wonderful and so satisfying. The Key Lime Pie was good with a strong lime taste.

I received a solution to getting a more accurate weight at home so I can keep track of my weight loss between our TOPS weigh-ins. I received a Weight Watcher's Inspirational Glass Scale from Conair (Model WW58S). This scale is so thin and stylish yet sturdy enough to hold a 400 lb person. Yes, it can weigh someone up to 400 lbs which I hope to never need but honestly, there aren't that many scales out there that go above 300 -350 lbs so this is a plus. In addition to the higher weight limit it also weighs in 10ths. That's perfect for comparing to the TOPS weights and to be honest some times just seeing 1/10 of a lb decrease is motivating. My old scale weighted in half pound increments and that was often a pain since the number wouldn't go down for a two weeks yet I've shown a 1 lb loss according to TOPS. Now I won't be discouraged as much.

The Weight Watchers scale also has some motivational stickers you can use to decorate it with. Some of the sayings are "Whatever you believe you can ACHIEVE", "YOU GO GIRL" "one day at a time" and several others. These stickers are more like clings that can be removed and reused over and over. This scale can be purchased at nationwide retailers such as Kmart as well as online from Conair for $29.99 - $37.99

In addition to the model I received Conair carries a wide variety of Weight Watchers scales.
