Most Embarrassing Moment
Everyone has a "most embarrassing moment" and I know I've had my share but today is up there in the ranks but still not embarrassing enough to take 1st place.
Our town has a walking trail and in trying to get more exercise we decided to take advantage of it. They allow you to bring pets but they do have rules.
- Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.....CHECK
- You must pick up after your dog.........CHECK, we carry plastic bags for that purpose.
I did the best I could but what was even worse, there were 2 men walking the trail and they were going to be passing us in a few minutes. We apologized and one of the men said it was no problem but I was still embarrassed and felt bad. We made the decision right then that the dogs don't go on any more walks with us. I really feel sorry for Rascal though because he's been doing so well walking on the leash in his training class, now he doesn't get to show off his stuff.
Now I'll tell you why this isn't going up to 1st place for most embarrassing.
When I was in high school I was a candy striper at the local hospital. We wore those little red and white striped pinafores with white blouses, panty hose and white Keds shoes. Two of my friends volunteered with me and we always took lunches and hung out together.
One day we were walking to lunch and guys were whistling at us but we couldn't figure out why or my friends might have known but didn't let me in on the secret. We went to the cafeteria, ate and as we were leaving we had to drop our trays off on a conveyer belt in a window leading to the kitchen. As we walked past the guys on the other side of the window were whistling. That's when a nice lady came up and whispered in my ear that my dress was up in the back.
Yes, when I went to the bathroom about 2 hours earlier the bottom of my dress got caught in the waistband of my pantyhose and my entire backside was exposed for all to see. Why nobody thought to tell me sooner is beyond me. Why my friends didn't think it was important to tell me I'll never know.
So THAT was and still remains my most embarrassing moment.
