Lovey, Stinky and Nimrod Our Version of Mr. Popper's Penguins

We have the goofiest most entertaining puppies and they each have their own personalities.

Ellie is our little squeak toy. She's loveable and squishy and when you touch her the nose points to the sky and she moans. Touch her in a certain spot on her back and she just melts. She's also very stubborn and won't do anything she doesn't want to. I've often tried to get her to go outside and she may get to the door then turn around. I've picked her up and put her outside and before I get the door closed she's snuck back in.

Stretch is our little orphan. She craves love and attention and when you give it to her she acts like it's not enough. She always wants what the others are getting even if it's something you know she won't like. If you call either of the other 2 dogs Stretch is the first one at your side. If you give one of the other dogs a bath, Stretch is waiting in like for her turn. She's loveable and very much loved but she just doesn't seem to believe it.

Rascal is Mr. Klutz. He's got a neurological problem but the vet isn't too concerned about it. Her opinion, he's otherwise healthy, eating and going to the bathroom so consider it part of his personality. When we first got him he couldn't even stand without falling over. Now he stands, runs, jumps and bangs into things but when he stands or sits still he bobs and weaves a bit. When he's running he misjudges where he's heading and THUD, right into a wall, a door or another puppy. I can't tell you how many times he wants to lay down and ends up on top of Stretch or Ellie. Rascal can jump but hasn't figured out how to jump on the furniture and he sometimes has problems going up or down 1 step to get into or out of the house. We do consider his klutziness part of him and he wouldn't be the same puppy without it.

If you've seen the movie Mr. Popper's Penguins you've seen our puppies in those penguins. Lovey is Ellie, Stinky is Stretch (if you're around her long enough you'll understand the resemblance) and Nimrod of course is Rascal.

@Melinda-LookWhatMomFound...and Dad too!

They are our "spoiled" babies but we wouldn't have it any other way.
