Firestone Pizza in Dothan, Alabama
We recently ate at a new pizza place in town and I can honestly say I love their pizza. It's not as good as Chicago's pizza but it's different.FirestonePizza at 250 S. Oates Street, Dothan, AL 36301 will make just about any type of pizza you want and the crust is thinner than hand tossed. Firestone Pizza has 2 brick ovens in the restaurant with a counter and stools so you can watch them build and bake your pizza.
Our first stop at Firestone we ordered a BBQ Brisket Pizza that was delicious. There's no red sauce but shredded BBQ Brisket, cheddar cheese and dill pickle slices. Our second stop they had a different menu and our favorite pizza wasn't listed but the waitress said she could make one for us. We found out they had just gotten a new manager, Shane, and they didn't have the ingredients to make everything on the menu so he had to run to the farmers market to get fresh vegetables and make temporary menu based on what he had.The waitress also told us they don't have a freezer so all their ingredients are fresh.
The service is great, the staff is friendly and the manager, Shane can be seen making pizza's, working the bar and visiting with the customers. In addition to pizza they also serve other Italian dishes as well as sandwiches.
Firestone Pizza has 2 locations; Dothan, Alabama and Woodstock, Georgia.
