Common Sense Disclaimer For Those Without Any

We've all seen "Common Sense Warnings" on items we buy every day. A curling iron has a tag warning not to use in a bathtub. A plastic bag has a warning not to let small children play. A fan has a warning to keep hands and fingers away from the blades. I even saw a bicycle that said to use a headlight when riding at night.

I understand why companies need to put these type of warning on products, they're only protecting themselves from lawsuits because, let's face it, there are a lot of people with no common sense.

The other day I saw an ad for an RFID Credit Card Protector that contained what I can only describe as a "Common Sense Disclaimer"

I'm now waiting to see an ad for a baby product that says "Baby Not Included"

And why is it necessary to put a small warning on the back of the jar advising consumers that peanut butter may contain peanuts?!

We have common sense rules because lawyers have clients without any.
